According to the Bank’s website, the project consists of the design, development, construction, operation and maintenance of a solar photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of up to 50 megawatts (MW), an energy storage system with batteries with a capacity of up to 50MW, which is being developed in the Municipality of La Romana in Dominican Republic.

As stated by the FMO, ENERTUR is a Special Purpose Vehicle organized under the laws of the Dominican Republic (DR) and owned by InterEnergy Renewables, SL, a subsidiary of InterEnergy Group Limited, which has more than 35 years of track record in the energy sector.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project.
