According to the IDB Invest, the financing aims to construct a prototype push boat that will use bio-LNG as its main fuel, minimizing CO2 emissions due to being a green fuel. Its ultra-low draft design will allow navigation in shallow conditions, achieving greater operational efficiency than conventional push boats. Additionally, the project will include the construction of the biogas plant and the necessary auxiliary works that, from the processing of organic waste primarily from the dairy industry, will produce the bio-LNG needed to supply the tugboat.
According to the IDB Invest, Riverpar S.A. (the “Company”) is a company established in Paraguay, part of the Atria Logistics Solutions Group (the “Group”), dedicated to providing river transportation services through the waterway.

You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
