Project Description

IDB Invest is considering an investment of up to BRL 80 million in senior shares of FIDC Maua Saneamento (the "Fund"), a credit rights investment fund to invest in credit transactions related to receivables arising from services rendered to basic sanitation concessionaires focused on projects seeking to reduce water leaks, energy efficiency and depollution of rivers.

The Project aims at contributing to achieve universal access to basic sanitation services in Brazil. IDB Invest's involvement is expected to help the Fund to reach the levels necessary for its investment strategy to be effectively implemented. In addition, IDB Invest will render advisory services to disseminate knowledge and strengthen practices related to energy efficiency, circular economy and corporate governance in the sector.
