The proposed operation consists of a loan to finance UNICARIBE's 2019-2020 Strategic and Investment Plan (the “Project”), aimed at: (i) increasing the plant and physical capacity of the university, including finalizing the conditioning of a new academic and administrative building in Santo Domingo of approx. 6,400 m2, as well as the construction and opening of a new satellite campus in Monte Plata (“Recinto Monte Planta”) located in the City of Knowledge of said City; (ii) increase, in the short term, the offer of academic programs at the University with new careers and technical studies in order to offer knowledge aligned to the current training needs of the Dominican Republic; (iii) acquire and implement specialized software for distance learning to strengthen current platforms and capacities; and (iv) renovate and improve physical facilities with new equipment and laboratories.
